"Revolution is an Inside Job: Women's Intrapreneurship"

Intrəprəˈnɜːrʃɪp: the act of behaving like an entrepreneur while working within a larger system or organization to create change

Are problem solving and innovation in your blood, but maybe not in your job description?  Women are leaders and changemakers- but, what happens when women question the status quo? Do you have ideas about changes needed in your organization or community, but don’t have a clear pathway to bring them to life?

In this interactive, practical, and fast-paced session, explore what you need to light and sustain your intrapreneurial fire. Examine the top challenges of successful intrapreneurs and map strategies to navigate these in your life. Dr. Ahuja offers personal insights as a woman driving disruption and pairs it with innovation therapy and real-world case studies from her forthcoming book, Disrupt-It- Yourself (HarperCollins Leadership, Jan. 2019). She highlights why we must value diversity of thought and skill, illuminates barriers facing women, and delivers tools to keep your intrapreneurial fire burning.

Dr. Simone Ahuja is a changemaker, innovation expert, strategist, and founder of Blood Orange, a consultancy in Minneapolis that advises C-level and senior executives, global entrepreneurs, and intrapreneurs worldwide. Dr. Ahuja recognizes the role of women as agents of change- at work and in their communities.

Women are well-placed to find solutions and Dr. Ahuja knows what it means for a woman to innovate and question the status quo.  Through her engaging presentations, she shares inspiring stories and practical tips for how to drive (sometimes) disruptive innovation.

Dr. Ahuja is also an author and contributes regularly to the Harvard Business Review. Her forthcoming book, Disrupt-It-Yourself (HarperCollins Leadership, 2019) is a clear-eyed playbook that outlines how large organizations can drive disruption internally by harnessing the power of intrapreneurs already on the inside of the organization.
