Women's Leadership Conference Committee Members

YWCA Mankato's mission is the elimination of racism and emPOWERment of women.  The annual Women’s Leadership Conference gathers together hundreds of women to discuss women’s roles as leaders in business, the community, and family life.  YWCA Mankato is seeking dedicated women in the greater Mankato community to volunteer and assist in the development and organization of the WLC.

Roles:

Committee Chair / Co-Chair:  Provides leadership to their committee, works with their team to execute tasks, ensures deadlines and tasks are met, and confers with YWCA Mankato Event Lead and the WLC Steering Committee.
Committee Member:  Ensure successful conference – raises all questions, concerns needs to the table – commits to what one can do and carries it out; makes sure we all have fun and role model the experience we want attendees to have.

Time Commitment:

A Volunteer Committee Member's time commitment will depend on which committee she serves on and her desired level of involvement.  In general, the Emerging Leader, Marketing, and Speaker/ Program committees usually require more upfront work, while the Wine Wall and Leadership Plan committees may not need as much assistance until closer to the event.
