Camp GOTR combines the best of Girls on the Run with all the fun of camp! During each week-long session, rising 3rd – 5th grade girls will build friendships in a fun and inclusive setting that includes interactive games, being physically active, and expressing creativity through art & crafts and storytelling. Led by caring and qualified Girls on the Run coaches, Camp GOTR provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity for girls to develop self-confidence, learn life skills they can use now and as they grow, and have fun with friends.
Camp GOTR: Girls Have Heart
Dates: June 10-14, 2019
Time: 8:30 - 4:30 (drop off begins at 7:45am; pickup until 5:00pm)
Location: Hilltop United Methodist Church (108 S. Manitou Drive, Mankato)
Cost: $150 (scholarships available)
Campers will bring their own lunch, water bottle, and weather appropriate clothing.
Snacks will be provided. Each camper will also receive a Camp GOTR t-shirt.
Throughout the week, girls will have fun exploring friendships with activities designed to discover what makes a good friend and how to be a good friend to others. Girls will move, build, create, write, discuss, connect, and laugh all while participating in games and activities that will leave them feeling confident and appreciated by their teammates. In the afternoons, campers will participate in various GOTR themed activities and community impact projects or experiences.
Camp GOTR: Girls Have Power
During this dynamic week-long session, girls will learn about the power they possess to recognize emotions in themselves and others, and how to express their feelings through fun and interactive activities such as “Emotion Detective," building workshops, creative skits and more! In the afternoons, campers will participate in various GOTR themed activities and community impact projects.
