The YWCA strongly values long-term sustainability. This belief [coupled with a few strategic partners] has led to the creation of the YWCA Women’s Fund.
THE YWCA WOMEN’S FUND.
This fund is an endowment unique to southern Minnesota, made possible through a partnership with the Mankato Area Foundation (MAF). MAF is a donor-driven community foundation whose purpose is to improve the livability in greater Mankato through philanthropy, convening individuals and organizations to find local solutions. The Women’s Fund will provide the YWCA with a secure source of funds for the enrichment of our programs, stability of the organization. Development and growth of the Women’s Fund will ensure YWCA Mankato remains a presence in this community for years to come.

CINDY’S LEGACY…
“I decided I didn’t need a new SUV. Instead, I chose to direct the monthly payments budgeted towards a higher purpose; a gift of life insurance to the YWCA, a nonprofit that means a great deal to me. The policy I have was incredibly easy to set up and is irrevocably owned by a community foundation. I get a current tax deduction for the premiums paid and the YWCA will someday get the tax-free death benefit from the foundation. Not only does it feel like the right thing to do, but I think all legacy donors will agree with me when I say it gives me great satisfaction and pleasure.”
