New American Families Parents as Teachers (PAT) Program

Our evidence-based home visiting model is a proven and effective program designed to address factors that strengthen families and help them prepare their children for life’s challenges early in life.

HOME VISITS
Personal visits are the heart of PAT. A certified parent educator trained in child development helps you understand what to expect as your child grows and offers practical suggestions on encouraging learning, managing challenging behaviors, and promoting strong parent-child relationships.

SCREENINGS
Parent educators use the Ages and Stages Developmental and social/emotional screenings to assess your child’s overall development.

GROUP EVENTS
Families have the opportunity to meet other families in the program to share experiences, gain new insights, discuss parenting topics and enjoy fun activities.

Community Resources
Our Parent Educators can link your families to services in the community not included in the Parent as Teachers Program.
