The YWCA is a valuable community resource.  In 2009 the YWCA provided the following services:

           

Walking In Two Worlds:  

             Community Integration Services to Immigrant Women

             Assisting over 100 immigrant women and over 260 children adjust to a new country and

             culture.

             Human Race Radio

In partnership with KMSU, tells the stories and shares the voices of a diverse community.

The Elizabeth Kearney Women’s Leadership Development Program

             Growing the capacity, leadership skills and contributions of women in the community.

Over 70 women have participated in this program.

Girls on the Run

Starting in the Mankato area in 2008, this program is for girls in 3rd though 8th grades and builds character and self-esteem though learning and physical activity.  In the 2009-2010 season more than 90 girls have participated in this program and the program continues to grow.

Women of Distinction

More than 120 women over 30 years have been recognized in our community for their leadership and commitment to improve the quality of life in the Greater Mankato area.

 

 

When you lift the status of women and girls,
