The YWCA Mankato is unique and one of only four YWCA's in Minnesota. The Ready to Learn program helps prepare immigrant and refugee children for kindergarten. It utilizes trained volunteers to provide educational and developmental activities for children ages birth-5 years. Most of these volunteers are longstanding community members or college students in the community.
